The story of Prime
So why did you choose to become a tutor? They ask.
As founder of PRIME I can honestly state that this opportunity was a blessing that found its own path. Finishing my year 12 studies I went on to study a Medical Science Degree at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) as I someday wanted to become a Doctor. However, life took me down a very different path. My love for Mathematics had become apparent when I started tutoring students from year 7 to year 12 during my University days. This too led me to also complete a Mathematics Degree.
I don’t consider myself a mainstream person who learnt in a mainstream way. Being educated in a private school and then educated at University I always knew there was something missing in the teaching department. What was missing was the love of teaching, the ability to make a child understand in a unique way whilst achieving the best marks they possibly could. Passion was missing. Finding that passion and knowing I had to help and make a difference to every child that came in contact with me was why I chose to become a tutor and do it my way.
Through a unique method, each student learns everything set out by NESA and still finds a passion within themselves to learn the subject they are being tutored in. PRIME is not your mainstream tutoring style; it’s a different approach to a child’s learning where passion and understanding is shown to the student so that they too also become passionate about what they are learning. We have been successfully running for 18 years of business and look forward to many more, continuing to allow students to thrive and achieve their goals.
